About Tay

There are moments in life that take the breath from your lungs and reshape you forever. My story is woven from many of those moments, threads of heartbreak, threads of hope, and threads of a love that refused to dim.

My journey with grief began early, with the loss of my grandmother to bone marrow cancer. Foster care followed, bringing with it more goodbyes, my grandfather, an aunt, an uncle, and both great-grandparents. Before I understood much about the world, I already understood that life is both fragile and sacred.

As the years unfolded, loss visited again and again, two best friends gone far too young, a childhood friend whose light went out oceans away, and the deepest ache a mother can hold: the loss of a stillborn child and later another precious child to domestic abuse.

My heart learned the language of grief long before it learned the language of healing.

But eventually, a quiet truth began to form:

If love is the only thing we truly leave behind, then our lives must be lived with intention, with tenderness, and with legacy in mind.

From this truth, Love Your Legacy was born.
